The Heritage Circle

The Heritage Circle is an honorary society comprised of individuals and couples who have included Clausen House in their estate plan. From time to time, the Heritage Circle members are invited to a relaxing evening of fine dining and entertainment as Clausen House's way of showing our appreciation to these extraordinarily committed donors.

If you have included Clausen House in your estate plan and would like to be a member of the Heritage Circle, simply call Jessica Derrick, Director of Development, at (510) 839-1114. Details of your bequest may be kept private. We only ask that you share with our Development Director the name of your estate planning attorney. For confidentiality reasons we do not publish a list of our Heritage Circle members on our website.

Heritage Circle Reception

Piedmont Piano Company, Oakland

In 2010 Clausen House hosted a reception to recognize an extraordinary group of philanthropists — the Heritage Circle. For their many contributions to this event, we wish to thank board President Deborah F. Schweizer, board members Kathleen Callahan and Andreas Neyer, volunteer extraordinaire Susan Malick, and event planner Deborah Mann Productions. Special thanks to Jim Callahan of Piedmont Piano Company for donating the elegant venue.

Our tremendous thanks also to Dinah Lu, Frederick Hodges, and Debbie Poryes — three fine pianists who dazzled our guests with works by Bach, Brahms, Debussy, and Gershwin, among others. Before and after the main program, Clausen House's Karen van Horn, a Belmont resident, played ambiance music with warmth and versatility. Thank you, Karen, for sharing your talent with us!
